Phase Control Thyristor

Universal Control Card (UCC)

The Universal Control Card (UCC) provides multiple control input options using a single control card. The UCC can be configured for local, remote, or Building Management System control.

Peripherals of UCC

Power Input for UCC

  • The UCC is designed to be powered using the RIR – SMPS Card. UCC requires +5V, +15V and -15V dc to operate.

Serial Communication Peripherals (USB, RS-485, CAN Bus)

  • The UCC has three Serial Communication interfaces available onboard. These serial communication ports can be used for interfacing UCC with various devices such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Data loggers, PC, Human Machine Interface (HMI), etc.

Special Analog Inputs

The UCC features two user-configurable 12-bit ADC Inputs. These two inputs can be individually configured for the following modes:

  • 0-10V DC input
  • 4 – 20 mA DC Current input
  • 0-100mV DC Voltage input
  • PT-100

Analog Inputs

  • AC Voltage Sensing Connector Designator: J8, J11
  • AC/DC Current Sensing Connector Designator: J7, J12, J16, J18
  • DC Voltage Sensing Connector designator: J14
  • Digital Inputs Connector Designator: J15

Digital Outputs

  • Onboard relay connector designator: J13
  • Standard digital output connector designator: J9
  • Fast digital Output connector designator: J6

Analog Outputs (DAC)

  • The UCC features 4 channels Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) which can be configured to operate as a current source or a voltage source. These DACs can be used for generating voltage reference (+/- 10V dc) or current reference signals (4-20mA) to be interfaced with PLCs. The DACs are capable of generating both DC as well as AC reference signals (10 VPeak).

PWM Outputs

  • The UCC features 4 channels of Digital to Analog Converters (DAC) which can be configured to operate as a current source or a voltage source.
  • These DACs can be used for generating voltage reference (+/- 10V dc) or current reference signals (4-20mA) to be interfaced with PLCs.
  • The DACs are capable of generating both DC as well as AC reference signals (10 VPeak).
